About the procedure

You will come for your appointment as normal, but require a chaperone to help you home safely. Specially trained Dental Surgeons and anaesthesiologists will monitor you throughout. They will check your heart rate, breathing and dissolved oxygen levels. The treatment will then be carried out without the awareness of anything happening, but you will still be able to respond. After waking from your relaxed state, your treatment will be complete, and you may not recall the experience.

 

Inhalation Sedation (Laughing Gas)

Nitrous oxide, a colorless and odorless gas, is inhaled to induce rapid relaxation. It reaches the brain within 20 seconds, with a calming effect typically experienced after 2 or 3 minutes.

 

Intravenous Sedation

An anti-anxiety drug is administered into the bloodstream during dental treatment. While not inducing sleep, these drugs create a deep state of relaxation, often resulting in limited recollection of the procedure.
